Calling all Courtesy Boat Inspectors

The first lines of defense against invasive aquatic plants are Maine’s Courtesy Boat Inspectors. PWA is gearing up for the Courtesy Boat Inspection (CBI) season.

We can always use CBI volunteer help. Invasive aquatic plant education and prevention really works. We hope to have inspections from June 27 to September 7 at Biscay Beach boat launch and Pemaquid Pond boat launch.

CBI volunteers need to attend a training to learn the updates for this year, review common questions, and to share information or tips.

The dates for training scheduled in collaboration with PWA and DLWA:

Thursday, May 21
4:30 – 6:30pm
DLWA Office, 38 Lake Farm Circle, Jefferson

Thursday, June 18
5:00 – 7:30pm
Nobleboro Town Office, 192 Route 1, Nobleboro
Paul Gregory from Maine DEP will be here to give a brief talk.

Thank you for your dedication to this crucial program. You will make 2015 another successful CBI season. Please call or email which training session you can attend. Bring a friend or neighbor to join the CBI team.
