PWA Hike & Paddle Guide PWA Hike and Paddle Pocket Guide: Those seeking to find out more about paddling the Pemaquid River and those who want a quick overview of PWA's preserves will now be able to get it all in one handy reference. Thanks to the hard work of graphic designer and PWA member Laurie Herron of Royal River Graphics and the printing sponsorship of Lincoln County Publishing, PWA is proud to now offer a Hike and Paddle Pocket Guide. The full-color guide provides background, trail information, and directions to PWA's preserves and gives information about paddling the Pemaquid River, including directions to the five major put-in launches. It folds to a handy 3.5x5.5" size and opens to a 11x14" double-sided guide. Available for a suggested donation of $2.

Origin of the map...Mac Rogers was PWA President during the late 1980s. Through his friend, Lois Ranstrom, he met and became friends with Russell Lenz of Bristol, who had been a cartographer with the Christian Science Monitor in Boston for over 40 years until his retirement. Russell agreed to draw a map of the Pemaquid River watershed that could be used for educational purposes and as a fund-raiser for PWA. It was finished in 1990 and turned out beautifully.
