Pirate Duckies Hope to Compete in River Race

Thirty six pirate rubber duckies are eager to compete against 600 regular bathtub duckies in the upcoming Rubber Ducky River Race on July 4 at around 3:50 p.m., rain or shine. But, in order for the pirate duckies to enter the race, each much find a sponsor. Tickets to sponsor a pirate ducky will be available on Saturday, June 20, at Schooner Landing’s lot during the Pirate Rendezvous, with proceeds for those race entries split with the charity the Fest benefits.

The Rubber Ducky River Race, which is sponsored by Yellowfront Grocery, supports Pemaquid Watershed Association’s mission to conserve the natural resources of the Pemaquid Peninsula through land and water stewardship and education.
