PWA to Paddle the Pemaquid River

The Pemaquid Watershed Association Paddlers will paddle the Pemaquid River from Bristol Mills to Biscay Pond on Saturday May 23, at 10 AM. This is a very easy, beautiful paddle ideal for all paddle enthusiasts regardless of expertise and a good warm up for the start of the paddle season. Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior. Directions: From Damariscotta take Route 129/130 South. At Hanley’s market Routes 129 & 130 split. Stay left onto Route 130 for 5.5 mile to the Bristol Mills boat launch on your left (just before the swimming hole and the dam). Public rest room; duration 2 hours; optional lunch at the Bristol Diner. All paddles are free and open to the public. Paddlers must supply their own kayak or canoe and wear a personal flotation device (life jacket). Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The paddle will be cancelled in the event of rain.
