PWA to Paddle the St. George & Oyster Rivers

The Pemaquid Watershed Association Paddlers will paddle the St. George & Oyster Rivers in Thomaston Saturday June 27, at 10 AM (please arrive 20 minutes prior).

Directions: Take Route 1 North to the traffic light in Thomaston turning right onto Knox Street and proceed to the end (just across the railroad tracks) to a 90 degree right turn and look immediately for the harbor entrance on the left. Park on right by the grassy area, just before the Slipway restaurant, which is the put in (not the boat ramp). Public restroom available; paddle duration 2 hours; optional lunch at the Slipway restaurant.

All paddles are free and open to the public. Paddlers must supply their own kayak or canoe, wear a personal flotation device (life jacket) and have on file, or bring, a standard release form which is available at the PWA website or from the trip leader. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The paddle will be automatically cancelled in the event of inclement weather.
