Pemaquid Watershed Association (PWA) welcomes John Pfahler of Nobleboro to its Board of Directors. Pfahler lives on Pemaquid Pond with his wife, Mindy. They moved from New Jersey to Maine in 2013 with their two children. He currently is employed by Mountain Ltd. as an Internet Support Specialist, having worked in the IT industry since 1984 (starting his career with AT&T then later with Alcatel-Lucent then Hewlett Packard). His interest in nature and conservation started young with family camping in Maine and scouting. He first attended college acquiring a degree in forestry; however, his life did not follow the path he had envisioned, as he began working for AT&T and returned to college to acquire an information technology degree. Although he has made his living in the technology industry, he has never lost his interest in nature. He enjoys canoeing, boating and fishing.
For 49 years, Pemaquid Watershed Association has been a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and serving to conserve the natural resources of the Pemaquid Peninsula. PWA thanks all of its past and current Directors for their leadership and commitment.
