In 1994, the Doyle-Finnegan family donated 16 acres in Damariscotta to PWA, thereby creating the Doyle Preserve for all to enjoy.
The preserve provides public access to 1,200 ft on Pemaquid Pond, just over 1 mile of trails, and serves as an outdoor learning site for use by schools and other groups. The forested woodland provides habitat for a variety of wildlife, such as pileated woodpeckers, red fox, and red squirrels.
The property is held in conservation easement by the Damariscotta River Association.
